With so many fancy toys out there we forget that we don't need to spend a fortune to keep our little one's entertained. Babies and toddlers won't be wowed with the price tag; things that will get them hooked will be more about textures, sounds and of course.. bubbles!
In my experience Sensory bottles are a cheap and cheerful way of making your little one's happy.
All you have to do is fill a bottle.. any plastic bottle.. with bits that you have in your cupboards and they will be so excited to explore the sounds that they make when rolled about or shaken.
Below I have shown idea's for two different sensory bottles that have been tried any tested:
Fill half your bottle with water and mix some food colouring in. Fill the rest with oil… thats it! It really is that simple.
Let your little one's shake it up and watch the bubbles form as it settles.
Oh and make sure the lid is taped on so there isn't any spillages!
This one is great for exploring sounds and encouraging your little one's to make movements, such as shaking, banging and rolling.
Use the coloured pasta and rice in the same bottle, seal the lid and they have their very own shakers!
You can use the same colour or mix them up…
Have fun with it :)
