Children can be entertained by playdough for hours.. but we all know the pain of seeing new play dough colours mushed together!
We have three options:
1) Ristrict the colours.. giving your child only one colour at a time.
However, Ristricting the colours = restricting the fun.
2) Rack up a huge bill on buying new play dough every time
3) Make your own!
This is a no bake play dough recipe and is made from ingredients that you probably already have in your cupboard:
YOU WILL NEED:
1 cup water
4 cups of flour
2-4 tablespoons of cooking oil
1/2 cup of salt
WHAT TO DO:
1) Pour water & food colouring into a bowl & stir
2) Add flour & salt and mix
3) Add oil, knead all ingredients together until you have playdough
You can make different colours, glitter, herbs.. the possibilities are endless
Spring is here and the little one's in my class enjoyed creating their own garden's with our homemade play dough!
I added cocoa powder instead of food colouring to the recipe above to create mud like play dough; the children picked flowers & greenery from the garden and we even added some pink spaghetti to look like wiggly worms!
